CURVED CRYSTAL – assist with flexibility, to “go with the flow”

This week we’ll discuss the metaphysical properties of Curved quartz crystals; what they are, how to determine if you have one, and how to work with their unique energy.

curved quartz crystal - arkansascrystalworks.comCurved crystals have a gentle, yet powerful energy. They help promote a flexible attitude. Look at the shape of this curved crystal, it looks like it would “go with the flow” doesn’t it!?

Curved crystals can also be used to cleanse the aura. Very large ones can be used in a “scraping” fashion over the aura (you can actually feel the energy ripple after them).

So what exactly IS a curved crystal? Curved crystals have a curved shape or have sides that are curved. This happens when the crystal is forming and it is a fairly rare occurrence. Sometimes just the sides are curved; sometimes the whole crystal looks bent. Other times they are self-healed into a curved or bent form.

Following are some examples of Curved quartz crystals. Sometimes the curve is subtle, so I have drawn lines to help point it out. Do you recognize the Barnacles on this crystal? Here’s a link (which opens in a new tab) to the post on Barnacles if you’d like a reminder or if you missed it the first time.

The curved crystal below grew in a curved manner with the help of some breaks and subsequent Self Healing. This type of crystal might be helpful in going with the flow during a healing process.

The next crystal looks like it is curved due to breakage as well, but if you look at the very bottom of the main point, you can see it is curved there (before the break). The two Bridge crystals on the lower right side are naturally curved as well.

Here is another curved crystal.

It would be easy to miss the curved portion of the following crystal. If you look to the bottom of the crystal you can see how it doesn’t line up with the top. I drew in green where the edges would be if it were straight and not curved.

This is an example of a crystal that you might think is curved but is not. The main crystal is straight (blue lines) and the Bridge at the base is also straight (green lines). If you’ve forgotten what a Bridge crystal is, here’s a link to that blog post.

This final example makes it easy to see how the energy of a curved crystal would enhance “going with the flow” or being flexible.

When would a person choose to work with a Curved quartz crystal? Imagine any situation in which you are having difficulty being flexible. If you tend to be a rigid person but know that being less strict would be of benefit to you, you might carry a curved crystal in your pocket and use it as a touchstone to remind yourself to be more flexible.

Today we’ve learned that:

  • Curved crystals may be curved naturally or may be broken and self-healed into a curved shape.
  • Curved crystals are a fairly rare occurrence.
  • You might work with a Curved crystal in any instance where being flexible or “going with the flow” is desired.
  • Very large Curved crystals may be used in a scraping manner to cleanse or “brush” your aura.

I hope you have enjoyed this discussion about Curved quartz crystal; what they are, how to determine if you have one, and how to work with them. Next time we’ll discuss Dolphin quartz crystals.

As an afterthought, it occurred to me that I forgot to provide a link to where you might find these various crystal configurations if you decided you might like to work with them. Here is a link to Curved crystals:
