GENN’S NEW BOOK IS READY ! CRYSTAL MANDALAS: Anatomy & Physiology of Quartz Crystals (Volumes 1 – 4) COLORING BOOKS!

Crystal Mandalas: Anatomy and Physiology of Quartz Crystals, Volume 1

Well, you might have noticed I have been a little quiet lately. I’ve been madly working on finishing my latest series of books. They are currently at the printer and will arrive next week! I wanted to get them finished for a workshop I will be teaching in Fayetteville (Arkansas) for the Ozark Research Institute’s 28th Annual Dowsing & Alternative Health Convention on April 15th through 18th. (I will be writing a blog post about this in case some of you can attend!) I will also be in Hot Springs in May at the Crystal and Crystal Skull Festival  (also talking about the new books and doing crystal readings). Anyway, the books are AVAILABLE NOW for pre-order. (You can click here to open a new tab to the order page.)

I’ve been working on this series for a couple of years now, and of course, all my friends, when they saw the great hullaballoo about the “adult coloring books”, were on me to “HURRY HURRY HURRY, Genn!! Get your book out!”  Well, while I agreed that “striking while the iron was hot” seemed the smart thing to do, first, I didn’t want the books to be confused as “just another coloring book in a vast sea of coloring books” and second, (and more important) I wanted them to be exactly right. Also, while the series ARE books which you color, they are FAR MORE than just “coloring books”. They are learning books. Relaxing books. A way to make learning the nuances of quartz crystal easy, fun, and memorable. There is something magical about opening the right-brain, or creative side, that helps to bring the logical, or linear, left-brain side into more clear focus. This is what I hope to achieve with this series of books.

The crystal mandalas came about as a way to make understanding the “anatomy” (form) and “physiology” (function) of quartz crystal both easy and fun. The thought was inspired by the anatomy coloring books that I and many other nurses, massage therapists and others in the health care industry use to learn human anatomy. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the anatomy coloring book, it is a coloring book consisting of drawings of the systems (skeletal, muscular, etc) and descriptions with labels, all of which you color in as you learn.

Here’s an example of the Cathedral/Lightbrary mandala.

The books are 11″ x 11″ and each mandala has its own page. Each volume is coil bound so they will lay flat for coloring. I have included two of each type of crystal mandala, (e.g. two Artemis, two Barnacle, two Bridge, and so on), so that if you decide to take a mandala out of the book after you color it, you will still have one in the book for reference. To highlight the possible variations, each individual mandala features two different drawings of the type crystal featured. There is also a short description of the most prominent features of each. Because there are so many different configurations of quartz crystal in this series (46 in all), I have chosen to split the series into four volumes.

Here’s a little preview of the covers and the first 4 mandalas in each volume.

  1. Very good blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything.

Would you suggest starting with a free platform like
Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m
completely confused .. Any recommendations? Bless
    you!

Thanks! Really they’re all good, there’s a learning curve whichever one you pick. Obviously I went with WordPress, but there are other options. The best thing to do is just start somewhere! Happy Blogging!

You have so many talents! What a wonderful idea to do these coloring books as there are so many people that just need to relax in this crazy world today and this is perfect, if they would only take the time. Have done several myself but find I run out of time and it might be days before I get back. Usually find I get so relaxed that I fall asleep! But you have added the extra, crystals. They, as I know you find, open our minds to a more positive flow of energy. These are great. Keep it up…

    • Genn says:

Thank you David!! The best part to me, is how effortless it will be to learn the main thrust of each crystal type … and then the nuances and subtleties will easily dovetail in. That is my hope, anyway!!

  3. Deanna says:

These look fantastic and it’s obvious you put a lot of thought and work into them — so much detail. I felt a really positive energy from the drawings in your blog post. Good luck with these books, as well as your workshop and other endeavors.

  4. Karen Adams says:

    Bravo Genn! These look wonderful!
