This week’s blog post comes from a question posed by my friend and recent client who uses crystals in her work. In a nutshell it is whether we hurt crystal when we work with it. It is a great question! Here’s the question from my friend followed by the answer I received from (Crystal Guide) Venus:
QUESTIONS FROM SHERYL SITTS Regarding whether we hurt crystal
“Quick question…many tell us to use crystals to draw out negative emotions, pain, sickness, etc. from the body. Does putting that in hurt crystal? Is it not harmful to them? Do they just transmute it? Is it a drawing out of negative/harmful into crystals or a putting in of light and healing from the crystals?
Thank you for entertaining my question. It feels important to me to make this distinction in the work I do with others and what I teach. I want to ensure I am doing this with the highest respect and love for all involved, including and especially the crystals!” Sheryl Sitts, Life Dream & Healing Facilitator SherylSitts.com.
ANSWER FROM VENUS, CRYSTAL GUIDE on whether working with negative energies can hurt crystal
“Thank you for your concern and question. It shows your love for us, your intention to do no harm and we appreciate it very much. However, our vibration is so high and our basest intention so pure that in our assisting you with removing what you term as “negativity” (which we term simply as lower vibration), we are not harmed in the least. So no, you cannot “hurt crystal”.
To explain further: We help to transmute the “negative” vibrations to either #1. Remove them from your vibratory field or #2. Affect a raise in your own vibration so that the lower vibrations won’t have such a foothold.”
(note of clarity from Genn: In effect, then, (though not technically accurate) it is BOTH a drawing out of lower vibrations as well as an injecting in of higher vibrations.)
AN ANALOGY ABOUT DARKNESS AND LOWER VIBRATIONS – VENUS CONTINUES:
“In past descriptions, I used the visual of being in a very bright (well-lit) room. When you bring a box in the room with the lid on, you know that it is dark inside the lidded box. That could be compared to harboring lower vibrations. Now, one or two very small boxes in the room wouldn’t affect the way you are able to work in the room, but if you held so many boxes in the room that you couldn’t move, breathe or function, then it would be apparent that something needed to be done.
What we do to help with the lower vibrations, is, as you lift the lids off the boxes, the light shines in and the dark is simply gone. We haven’t “done” anything to the darkness in the box. If you return the lid, the darkness is still in there. As you open boxes, remove them and clear your room, you are able to move more freely due to and in the higher vibration. There is room to breathe and dance. In effect, there is less dark (lower vibration) hidden as shadows.”
DOES TAKING ON THESE ENERGIES HURT CRYSTAL?
“The question then, would be, are we (the Crystal People) negatively affected by helping humanity to raise their vibration (in your view, “taking” the darkness, illness or lower vibrations)?
The quick answer is no, not at all. I hear Genn’s mind questioning “what about all the instruction to cleanse and charge crystal after coming into contact with lower vibrations (fights, discord, severe depressions and the like)? Does this still not apply?”
Our answer is that, yes! We still appreciate the cleansing and clearing. A large part of that is your acknowledgement that we have done a service with and for you. We have transmuted these energies while they came into contact with us, and you need time to cleanse, clear and incorporate that healing.
Allowing us time to “rest” and “recharge” (say, in moonlight or with intention) helps us to “charge our batteries” if you will, but, more importantly, gives the healee the opportunity to take in the change and integrate the higher vibration. It also is our way of affecting an energy exchange with the user. What do we mean by this?”
OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CRYSTAL IS CO-CREATIVE, NOT ONE-SIDED
“If we simply raised vibrations, cleaned up, healed, loved (as we do) and the person never acknowledged the raise, cleaning, healing and love, then the relationship would be quite one-sided, would it not?
In the taking time to care for us by cleansing and charging, it is our way of joining into a sacred covenant with you. You do your part, we do ours.
While we CAN come in and “clean up” everything, with no effort on your part, it is not for us to empty your room of boxes, unlidding and shining light. That is each of your jobs. You will open boxes, we will be there to assist with beaming the higher vibration to where you direct us. After a time, or a particularly large box, it is good to allow us time to rest and recharge, as you allow time for yourselves to rest and recharge, and to integrate the healing (remove the box from the room entirely), freeing up space for you to dance about and move freely.
Thank you for your question! We do appreciate the love and concern from which it came and hope that we were able to “shine some light” (twinkling laughter) on the subject!”
That was an excellent question about whether we hurt crystal when we work on heavy vibrations/issues. As usual, Venus didn’t disappoint and answered quite thoroughly.
Remember that the Crystal People are here to assist us. Part of their agreeing to assist is knowing that we will be doing “our part” as well.
Our “part” involves cleaning up our rooms and emptying and hauling out boxes. Also lifting lids to shine a higher light on lower vibrations.
As we work with our Crystal Friends, it is important that we allow them time to cleanse, clear and recharge just as it is important for us to integrate, rest and rejuvenate.
Thanks, Sheryl, for your excellent question and thanks to Venus, too, for coming in so strongly with her explanation!
If you have a question, or would like clarity on a subject in regard to crystal, feel free to leave it in the comments or email me! I will run the question past Venus and we’ll do our best to answer as clearly and thoroughly as possible!
First, thank you so much for such a unique and helpful site!
My question is, how can I heal crystal traumatized through human irradiation. I purchased a “Morion” from a web store, and immediately felt that something is wrong when it arrived, almost like an abused animal. I began to understand that it had likely been irradiated to produce the dark color, although I cannot confirm.
I contemplated returning it, but something is stopping me, and calling me to try to heal crystal. I just don’t really know how to.
Do I bury it as you have recommended in other posts? Can I leave it with other powerful crystal friends so they can help?
Or, do you think artificial irradiation fundamentally alters crystal to an extent that it cannot be rescued to hold its original function as a conduit for crystal spirit.
Any advice would be more than welcomed!
Hey Anna! Apologies for taking so long to reply, I didn’t see this message! I don’t think that they are irreparably harmed by artificial radiation. I think it is best to do what you are intuitively led to do (bury or not bury, rest in cleansing herbs, let it hang out with other high vibe stones)… and the best thing to do is LOVE IT just the way it is. Offer it acceptance, understanding and love. Take that lesson and apply it to other situations that might be similar. I hope this helps!
learn many new things. Thank you for this. keep writing.
Thanks for your comment, Jannat!
Perhaps stones, such as turquoise, that are made of different materials working together, have some qualities similar to our own bodies. There was a time I was working with a client who had several issues. For one issue I joined with (allowed into my body) an angel, in order for the angel to give information directly to the client. Then the client had a question for the indigenous (Native American Indian) spirits who were still caretaking the land where she lived. I set my usual parameters, but neglected to lower my vibrational state back to human baseline. As I allowed the indigenous spirit to enter my body, I felt a horrible, sickening shock throughout my energy bodies and felt physically ill. Had I not assessed the spirit beforehand, I would have thought I had been attacked by a malevolent entity. The sudden downward vibrational shift had that brutal effect. And yet, when I cleared, returned to my normal energy state, and then joined with that being, there was no negative effect at all. Turquoise, like my biological body, has strong energy fields, yet must do its work through a body made up of many different elements held together somewhat loosely. Perhaps the simple fact of the nature of its physical body may affect the ability of stones such as turquoise to withstand the repeated energetic and physical shocks of exposure to lower vibrational levels. Perhaps crystals, with their strong lattices of identical molecules, have physical bodies that are more able to provide a stable structure through which their spirits can do their work with their energy bodies.
Kay… BRILLIANTLY PUT !!!! Thank you so much for sharing this insight. I resonate very strongly with your supposition. Thanks for offering it! I’m glad to get to post it here for others to experience.
Is the fact that some crystals; like turquoise sometimes discolor or even break when exposed to illness or negative energy, due to the fact that the crystal is not cared for?
Hey Gita! I’m not really an expert on the other (non quartz) crystal so any answer is purely a guess on my part. But here goes. I don’t get the feeling that it is due to misuse or not caring for properly. My sense is that there can be several different items at play here. But the one that resonates with me most is this: a less unified matrix in some stones that grow in a more layered or hodge podge configuration (like turquoise), and are lower on the MOHS scale (a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being softest-talc and 10 being hardest-diamond)… So when these softer, more loosely configured crystals are confronted by extreme shifts in vibration it may make the matrix sort of crumble or break? If anyone who is well-versed with these non-quartz stones has a more definitive answer, feel free to chime in. Thanks for your question, Gita!
